Book Reading
The children were engaged and enjoyed storytime. I wish you could have seen the smiles on their faces!
Plant a seed and your flower will grow too!
As seen on NBC 4
It was a pleasure meeting Jummy! I got a chance to speak on NBC4 about two of my books. It is a day I will never forget!
It was such a delight to hear Tony Perkins say, "Is that a frog I see!"
The flowers in the shop
Flowers have a secret superpower that not many people know about; flowers can brighten someone’s day when they are feeling down. One group of flowers, the orchids, didn’t love themselves enough to grow. They thought they were ugly and that no one would want to buy them! The orchids start to shed their insecurity after the other flowers tell them to focus on their happy feelings. But, will they? You’ll want to have this book in your collection to read again and again. Just wait until you see what happens to the little flower at the end! This story sprouts seeds that flowers are nature’s prizes, and they, like people, grow in all shapes, colors, and sizes.
Inside the book - The flowers in the shop
The shop’s delivery man overheard the exchange and laughed non-stop. He laughed so hard his packages dropped. Then he yelled across the room, “I bet a man could walk to the moon before those orchids sprout and bloom.”

TOAD-ALLY STEAM
Ever wanted to visit a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) school? Do you like sweet caterpillar pie? Would you taste it and give it a try? Six little frogs have big dreams of changing the world once they become human. But, once they reach their dream city of STEAM, Washington D.C., they are not as excited to become a human as the frogs initially thought they would be! Frogs have a toad-ally different diet than people. Pigs would have to fly before my friends would try sweet caterpillar pie!
As the reader, you will see life through the eyes of six little frogs, engagingly telling a story to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and various other career paths for our future innovators and creators.
MIND GAMES TV OF THINGS
Watch what happens when Zac’s dad buys an out-of-date TV and game console from a little old lady at the county fair. Who would have thought that an old TV could turn into an aircraft? Sounds crazy, right? You’ll need to read the book to discover the experiences Zac’s imagination brings while he plays with the TV of Things.
Not only is pretending a way to entertain but pretend play is excellent for a child’s developing brain. Their curious little mind unlocks, and they think outside the box. Please join us as we let our imagination lead the way through a child’s mind of pretend play.
During the pandemic, I had the opportunity to read my book to 84 exceptional little scholars. We planted micro greens, which they got to take home to watch their seedlings sprout. What a fantastic time we had, and we planted seeds for the love of reading too!

We are all gifted with imagination. Imagination is such a powerful thing; it sparks new ideas, concepts, and creativity. Reading allows a child to use their imagination. Oh, how we as parents love to read to our babies. It just might be their very first time traveling! Traveling minds can take you places. Let’s not forget, all of our great inventions of today started in mind as an idea. Imagination is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
